8-Week Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Workshop

An educational workshop for adults interested in better understanding the Highly Sensitive Person trait and exploring practical ways of working with it in everyday life.

Have you ever noticed that certain environments, relationships, or experiences affect you more deeply than they seem to affect others?

Perhaps you have been described as “too sensitive,” become overwhelmed by stimulation, or find yourself needing extra time to process emotions, interactions, or experiences.

If this resonates with you, this workshop offers an opportunity to explore the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) trait, develop practical skills, and learn alongside others with similar experiences.

This live educational workshop combines evidence-informed education, experiential exercises, guided reflection, and group discussion in a respectful small-group setting.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You may relate to experiences such as:

  • Feeling emotionally impacted by situations long after they occur

  • Becoming overwhelmed or depleted in busy, intense, or highly stimulating environments

  • Noticing subtle details, shifts, or emotions that others may overlook

  • Taking additional time to process conversations or experiences

  • Feeling strongly affected by the emotions of those around you

  • Wondering why certain experiences affect you differently than they affect others.

About the HSP Workshop

Being highly sensitive is not a diagnosis or something that needs to be changed. It is a natural temperament trait that influences how some people process sensory, emotional, and social information.

Understanding this trait can provide a framework for recognizing personal patterns, identifying needs, and exploring ways to navigate daily life with greater awareness.

This workshop provides an opportunity to learn about high sensitivity while developing insight into your own experiences.

Meet the Facilitators

“As an HSP myself, my hope is to create a space where participants can better understand the HSP trait, reflect on their own experiences, and explore practical ways of working with sensitivity in everyday life, while also experiencing valuable connection from fellow HSPs. My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic IFS, and trauma-informed approaches, though this workshop is educational rather than psychotherapy”

-Joshua Kim LCSW #100743

“I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) trait.

As an HSP myself, I understand what it can feel like to move through the world feeling misunderstood or different without knowing why. My goal is to create a respectful and supportive learning environment where fellow HSPs can better understand themselves, recognize the strengths of their sensitivity, and develop practical ways of navigating life with greater self-awareness and self-compassion.

I believe high sensitivity is not something to be fixed, but a trait that can be understood, valued, and supported.”

-Dr. Jessica Vartanyan PsyD., LMFT #108362
